Does anyone here play an instrument? From Saxophone to the Kazoo, this is where to talk about the music YOU make!

I started with a harmonica years ago, but in highschool I learned how to play a saxophone. Moved on after that to flute and now I've picked up an Irish Tin Whistle. :D

I would be willing to bet there are a few ocarina players here...

lol I used to play the piano and bass guitar, my sister broke my bass and I haven't bothered replacing it, and well..my apartment is too small for a piano :D

I used to write lyrics with another friend from uni, she played the guitar, we had a couple of songs, that was good fun times when we used to stay up night after night perfecting stuff XD!! And we were too poor to get proper equipment so our mp3 players were our best recording device for the longest time until she bought a mic LOL!!

Yes, I used to play classical guitar. I could compose some music too. I lost all of my guitars in a house fire. Now, because I've lost partial use of my right hand, I can't really play anymore.

I learned to play the guitar almost three years ago. Everything I've learned from that point on is pretty much self-taught (translation: I still suck :D ). I actually tried writing a couple of songs a while back. I even wrote lyrics and everything. Musically though, they just didn't work.
"When they turn the pages of history, when these days have passed long ago.
Will they read of us with sadness? For the seeds that we let grow? We turned our gaze to the castles in the distance. Eyes cast down on the path of least resistance." - 'A Farewell to Kings' by Rush.

I got a crappy acoustic guitar for x-mas a year ago, but I've never really had the time or the motivation to learn how to play it. I'd really love to learn how to play an oldschool synth or a bass guitar though. :o
Well, I'm a bored 17-year-old nerd with a bit of a chip on my shoulder. My interests include music, computers, the internet, and video games. I'd type more, but I don't really feel motivated to do so. =p

i would LOVE to buy a synth, I've been missing piano like crazy but living in an apartment means no real piano :o

Bass is not hard to learn, it's quite a bit easier than guitar imo, and once you learn bass, guitar becomes much easier as well.

I've been a percussionist for about seven years now... everything from timpani to log drums. My concert band is going to the Michigan Music Conference in January... which is a huge deal... one of the highest honors a school band can get.

I also play drum set for the school jazz band.... I've been wanting to start a rock, metal, or prog band, but it just hasn't happened.

I did write two or three songs for an uncle of mine who is in a band of his own(nothing too serious, just a small time thing that he had thought of doing.[I have the official band site for it]). I also have an ocarina that I haven't even toughed ever since buying it.

I bought my girlfriend one and she plays it like crazy  I wanted one for myself as well until I realized that I'd never play it.
