For those who don't know, Dream Theater is one of the most successful progrssive metal bands to exist, with their albums "Images and Words" and "Train of Thought" marking the highlights of their career. The founder and drummer of the band, Mike Portnoy, recently quit the band, catching both the band and its fans by surprise. The band got the chance to audition seven of the world's best drummers, settling for Mike Mangini.
I'm really excited to see what new directions the band is taking with Mangini behind the drums.
