My headphones broke at work today (left earpiece completely fell off) so I went to Best Buy to pick up a new pair on my lunch break and decided to go top of the line - Bose QC15 noise cancelling headphones and holy crap it's a huge improvement over any other headphones I've ever used! The noise cancelling blocks out most if not all noise in the room and the sound quality is great, the next best thing to actually being at a concert! The sound quality's so good that it sounds better than my home and car stereos, and both of those are decent to good systems. Anybody else tried higher end headphones with their MP3 players?

I don't use MP3 players, but I bet that thing is at least 3x better than my optical headphones.

They do sound really good, and I've taken a road trip with them where there's normallly the noise of the wind outside the car, people talking in the car, and music on the car stereo....couldn't hear a thing besides my music!

Do you have a Bose surround system or which speakers? I'm thinking about getting one of their 5.1 surround systems with wireless rear speakers so I'm curious what you think of them if that's what you have.

Bose Companion 2 Series 2, great speakers but very bassy. You need either an equaliser of a computer with bass control.

Oh so there's not a way to turn down the bass on it's own? That might be a problem in an apartment...dang. What about if you have a receiver?

Their the RCA Red and White plugs on the back. It's ment for PCs, but I have plugged them into my TV (it has a cable for RCA to headphone jack) and I adjusted the bas on my TV. I mean, unless you crank the volume up to 11, you won't nuke your neighbors china off the shelf.
